Shappio Themes

A website theme is like the personality of your online store. It sets the tone and atmosphere for your customers' shopping experience. From the colors, fonts, and images to the overall layout and design, your theme creates an impression on your visitors. Shappio offers a wide range of themes that can be customized to suit your brand identity and style preferences. Choose a theme that best represents your brand and enhances the user experience of your online store.

Different themes have different colors, styles, and layouts. For instance, you may want a luxury theme if you're selling clothing and apparel. In contrast, an energetic and sleek theme may be better suited for an online store selling electronics, computers, or mobile phones.

While themes are customizable, it's important to note that more advanced customization of theme code may require some knowledge of HTML and CSS. For basic customization, you can use the theme's built-in layout options. These options allow you to customize the look and feel of your online store without editing any code. However, if you want to make more advanced changes, you may need to edit the theme's code. Hiring a professional developer is recommended if you're uncomfortable with coding.


Selecting a theme

To view and select a new theme for your website:

  1. From your Shappio admin, go to Design > Themes
  2. Filter the themes by selecting an Industry. By default, all industries are selected
  3. Click Live Preview to see the live preview of any theme
  4. Click Apply Theme to apply a theme on your website
  5. On confirmation dialogue, click OK
  6. Click View Store on the top right of the admin panel to view your website with updated theme

Editing a theme

To edit a theme:

  1. From your Shappio admin, go to Design > Themes
  2. Click Edit Theme on your selected theme
    Your selected theme appears with a green tick
  3. On the edit theme page, make changes to your CSS stylesheet
  4. If you are using images in your theme, you can upload images using the upload image option
  5. Click Save
Note
Please note that advanced customization of theme code
requires HTML and CSS knowledge. For a backup, copy and save your theme code
with you before making any changes to your theme code. So that if anything goes
wrong, you could revert back to the original code.
